Creating a Canvas Grading Scheme

In Canvas there are five default schemes to choose from for your course. If one of these will not work for your course, a custom grading scheme can be created with the steps below. Please note the Grading Scheme is a course setting and must be done in each course you teach.

  1. From course Settings Select, select Set Grading Scheme and  click manage grading schemes.
  1. Click the +Add grading scheme button
  1. Name new scheme, edit the conditions and click the Save button when complete. Then return to course Settings and select the new grading scheme you have created.
