  • The first time you setup a NetPassword, you will go to netpassword.msstate.edu and select “Set your initial NetPassword”. Please note that incoming students could have created their NetPassword as part of the application process.
  • To change an existing NetPassword, you would select “Change your NetPassword”.
  • If you only wish to change your Security question/answer set, please select “Change your NetPassword Security Question”.
  • If you do not recall your NetPassword, select “Forgot your NetPassword”.
  • When unable to reset your NetPassword on your own, you can bring a photo ID card into the ITS Service Desk at 108 Allen Hall during our normal hours.  If you are not able to come to the Service Desk, please see Getting Started below.

Getting Started

Click the Request Service button on this page to make this request. If you need to have your NetPassword reset and are unable to come by the Service Desk, you will need to provide your NetID, date of birth, an alternate email address and phone number at which to reach you. You will also need to verify your identity by approving a confirmation push in your Duo Mobile app (preferred method) or by answering a return call.
