Installation Instructions - Adobe CC desktop app

To get started, first you need to download and install the Creative Cloud desktop application. This application is where you can manage and share any assets you've created and stored to the Cloud as well as download and install the individual Creative Cloud products (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc.).

  1. Visit the Adobe CC desktop application download website; your download should begin immediately.
    Note: You may be prompted to choose where to save the file or to give permission to download.
  2. Launch the downloaded file, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Select and install Creative Cloud apps

Now that you've downloaded and installed the Creative Cloud desktop application, you can download/install as many or as few Adobe CC applications to your computer as you would like.

  1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud app. You will be automatically prompted to sign in.
  2. Enter your netid@msstate.edu in the email address field and select Continue.
    • If you see a screen asking you to select an account, select the "Company or School" option.
  3. You will be redirected to a Microsoft sign in page. Enter your NetPassword, click/tap Sign In, then authenticate with Duo, if prompted.
  4. You will now be successfully signed in. (You can also refer to the Signing in to Adobe Creative Cloud with Your MSU account article for detailed sign in instructions.)
  5. From the Apps tab, choose the application(s) you would like to install on your computer, and click its Install button.

Adobe Training

Mississippi State students, faculty and staff have several avenues in which to receive training on Adobe products and services. Adobe has many great online tutorials for the various Creative Cloud products. The University also offers free access via the Library which has many specific Creative Cloud product lessons.
