Canvas: Adding Microsoft Teams Meetings using the Rich Content Editor

You can integrate a Microsoft Teams Meeting most anywhere the Rich Content Editor is available in Canvas (Quizzes, Assignments, Pages, Discussions, Calendar Events, etc.)

Steps:

1. Go to canvas.msstate.edu, log in with your NetID and NetPassword, then authenticate with Duo.

2. Create a new quiz, assignment, calendar event, etc. or edit an existing one in the Rich Content Editor.

3. Click the More External Tools button (looks like a blue V) on the second row.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on Microsoft Teams Meetings.

5. Click Sign In in the popup window.

6. Enter your netid@msstate.edu email address, your NetPassword, then authenticate with Duo, if prompted. 

7. Click Accept on the Permissions Requested window.

8. Click Create Meeting Link, type in a title, then select date/time the meeting will be available.

9. Click Create.

10. A Microsoft Teams meeting link will be added in the content area which your students can use to join your meeting during your specified date/time.

11. Click Save.
