Connecting to the MSU VPN using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
1. Go to your Start Menu and open Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
2. If the server field is blank, type in vpn.msstate.edu. Click Connect.
3. Enter the following options:

Duo/Second Password |
Type "push" OR get a code from your Duo app (See instructions below) |
Additional Instructions for MFA/Duo
To use Duo push: Type push
into the Duo password field, then approve the notification on your mobile device.
To use a multi-factor passcode/bypass code:
Mobile Devices: Open Duo Mobile on your mobile device. Tap on Mississippi State University. A six digit code will display. This is what you will type in the Duo Password field.
Tokens/Fobs: Press the button and enter the number from your display in the Duo Password field.
MFA bypass code: Generate a multi-factor bypass code at netpassword.msstate.edu (Detailed Instructions); this is what you will type into the Duo Password field.
4. Click OK. Once you see Connection Established, you are connected to the MSU VPN. You can also check if you are connected by placing your cursor over the icon in the taskbar. It will display VPN: Connected if you are connected successfully.
