Syncing Contacts with the Microsoft Outlook App on Mobile Devices

Note: Contacts are not automatically synced between Microsoft Outlook and your Contacts on the phone.

 

Enabling contact syncing


1. Open the Microsoft Outlook app on your device.

2. Tap on the menu icon (triple bars) located at the top left hand side of the app.

3. Tap on the Settings (Gear) icon located in the bottom left hand corner.

4. Tap on the email Accounts name.

5. Tap the toggle button beside Sync Contacts. If you have an Android device, you are now syncing your contacts and your task is complete. If you have an iOS device, please continue to Step 6.

6. Note: iOS devices only!

a. When you tap on Save Contacts, you will see a popup asking you for permission to save your contacts to your iOS device (iPhone, iPad). Tap on Save to my iPhone.

b. A popup will appear informing you that Access to Contacts Needed. Tap on Open Settings to grant this access.

c. Toggle Contacts to on.

e. Tap Save to my iPhone.

7. Contacts are now syncing with your mobile device.
