Signing into Webex

Chrome is used as the browser in this article. The images may differ slightly depending on which brower is used. In your browser, enter msstate.webex.com. Click the Sign in button in the upper left of the window.

Sign in using your netid@msstate.edu email address and click Next.

You are directed to the Central Authentication Service. Enter your NetID and NetPassword and click LOGIN.

You are directed to the DUO two-factor authentication screen where you can choose which authentication method you typically use.

When signing in for the first time, you are prompted to choose the language you prefer to use from the drop down menu and click Next.

Upload your profile picture or choose to skip this step. If you want to upload a photo, click Upload. Click the circle where your image will go, navigate to where your photo is located and select it. 

 

You are now in your main Webex window. Click Start Meeting to begin a new meeting. 

In the Participant drop down menu, click Invite and Remind

Add participants using their email address in Invitees:, and click Send.

To schedule a meeting from the main window, click the Meetings link on the left menu. Click Schedule a Meeting to schedule a meeting on a date and time. Enter meeting description in Meeting Topic. Enter participants email addresses in Attendees. Webex auto generates a passcode for the meeting. 

When you go to the meeting, select your audio and video devices. You have options at the bottom of the window to upload documents to participants, record the meeting, view participants, chat with everyone, create a poll, and switch to desktop app. The red X stops the meeting.
