The Canvas mobile app is great for referencing your course information on-the-go. However, occasionally it may not function as expected. When this happens, follow the steps below for your device to clear the app's cache. If this does not resolve your problem, then contact us and use the web browser on your mobile device or on a computer instead.
Please note: We do not recommend trying to submit assignments using the mobile app, especially if the assignments will significantly impact your grade. It is best to use a computer to submit course work.
Clearing the Mobile App Cache on an iOS device
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Canvas App.
- Toggle on the option that states, "Clear app cache on next launch." From there, you will force close the Canvas App.
- Log back in to the Canvas app again.
Clearing the Mobile App Cache on an Android device
- Go to you phone's Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Locate the Canvas App and select it.
- Press Storage and select the delete or clean button for clear data and clear cache.
- Log back in to the Canvas app again.
If clearing the cache does not resolve the issue, delete the app, and then reinstall it.
