1. In the Finder window click on Applications. Click on Microsoft Outlook.
2a. If you previously had your netid@msstate.edu account set up on your Mac, you will need to delete it first.
Note: If you do not have your netid@msstate.edu account already setup please skip to Step 2b.
- In Microsoft Outlook, click Outlook on the menu bar. Click Preferences.
- Click Accounts.
- Click on the former setup of your netid@msstate.edu email address and click the minus ‘-‘ at the bottom left of the window.
- After clicking the minus sign, you will have a notification asking permission to delete the account. Click Delete.
- Now click Add Email Account. Then continue to Step 2b.
2b. In the Set Up Your Email window, enter your netid@msstate.edu email address in this field and click Continue.
3. Enter your NetPassword and click Sign In.
4. Authenticate to DUO.
5. Click Done. Your email account has been added.
6. To view your email account in Microsoft Outlook click Tools and click on Accounts.
7. A green dot indicates you are connected and online. A yellow or red dot indicates that you have a server connection error or a bad network connection. If you need assistance please contact the ITS Service Desk.
