What if my account becomes Compromised?

Whenever ITS finds evidence that an MSU account has been compromised, the account is disabled to prevent any malicious activity. The user is then required to either come to the ITS Service Desk with photo identification or submit a request to have their NetPassword reset. At that time, an ITS Service Desk Support Specialist will reset the user's password and Security question(s). The user will then go to netpassword.msstate.edu and set their new NetPassword and security question(s).

If you suspect that your account has been compromised but are still able to log in, please change your NetPassword as soon as possible by going to netpassword.msstate.edu/change.
