The university has a site license for Camtasia that allows it to be installed on any university-owned computer when used for teaching or non-commercial purposes. In addition, student, faculty and staff home use on personal equipment is included at no additional cost.

Windows - Installing/Activating Camtasia
1. Download the camtasia.exe file from the link above. Take note of the license key as this will be needed later on.
2. Double-click the camtasia.exe file to launch the application.
3. When Camtasia launches, select your preferred language and click OK.
4. When prompted, click to accept the license terms and privacy policy, then click Install.
5. When the installation completes, click Finish.
6. Open Camtasia from your start menu.
7. On the "Welcome to Camtasia" page, click Enter Software Key.
8. Enter the license key obtained in step 1 and click Unlock Camtasia.
9. Camtasia should now be licensed and ready to use.
macOS - Installing/Activating Camtasia
1. Download the Camtasia.dmg file from the link above. Take note of the license key as this will be needed later.
2. Double-click the Camtasia.dmg file, accept the agreement, then drag the Camtasia application to the Applications folder when prompted.
3. Open the Applications folder then open Camtasia. Note: if your computer warns that Camtasia is an app downloaded from the internet, click Open to continue.
4. On the "Welcome to Camtasia" page, select Enter Software Key. Enter the license key obtained in Step 1 and select Unlock Camtasia.
5. Once Camtasia is licensed, select Get Started. The application is licensed and ready to use.
