Installation of Mathematica 14.2 for macOS

1. To download Mathematica 14.2, go to the Mathematica download service and click on the appropriate link for your user type.
   
   
    
2. If you do not have an account, create one now.
   1. Go to user.wolfram.com and click Create Account.
   2. Fill out form using an @msstate.edu email and click Create Wolfram ID.
   3. Check your email and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID.
3. Request the download and Activation key:
   1. Fill out this form to request an Activation Key.
   2. Click the Product Summary page to access your license.
   3. Click Get Downloads.

4. Click on macOS.

5. Click Start Download.

 

6. This will download the macOS installer. In your Downloads folder, double-click on this file when you are ready to install.
   

If this warning pops up, click Open.

7. Click Next.
   
    
8. Allow the software to download.
   
    
9. Click Launch.
   
    
10. Allow the Software documentation to install.
    
     
11. Click Install for all users of this computer. Click Continue.
    
     
12. Wolfram Mathematica Setup will begin. The Install Location can be the default folder. Click Install.
    
     
13. Click Close.
    
    
    
     
14. Drag the Wolfram icon to the Applications icon to install. 
    
    
15. Now the software needs to be activated. Click Continue.
    
    
     
16. A web browser window will open. Log in with your Wolfram credentials. Now click Activate.
    .
     
17. If you get the following error, copy the verification code.
    
    
    
18. On the application installer, click "Activation not starting?"
    
    
     
19. Paste the verification code here. Click Continue.
    
    
     
20. Read and accept the License Agreement. Mathematica is installed and ready to use.
    
    
    
    
    
     

Note: If you get an error that says Activation unsuccessful, go to your Wolfram User Portal and click View Activation Keys.  Enter the Activation Key obtained  then click Activate. There will be a window stating that activation was successful.
