Connecting Respondus 4.0 to Canvas

To create a Canvas link in Respondus, complete the following steps.

1. With the desired file open in Respondus, click the Preview and Publish tab. Select Publish to Canvas then click the Publish Wizard.
2. Click the Canvas Server drop-down box and select -add new server- option. The Add New Server Settings box will appear. Click the Next button.
3. Enter the name to describe the connection link. Enter your MSU NetID and NetPassword. If this is on your computer, you can click the "Save my User name and Password" box. Then click the Next button.
4. A dialogue box will appear letting you know to use the browser window that opens to log into Canvas.  Click the OK button.
5. Log into Canvas with NetID and NetPassword and click the Login button.
6. Duo Authenticate and click Authorize.
7. Click the OK button on the dialog box.
8. Steps 4 through 7 may be repeated. You will see "Connection Test: Completed Successfully." when the connection is done.
9. Click the Next button after the connection test is completed.
10. Click the Finish button. The link to Canvas is now available
