Enabling pop-ups in your web browser

Pop-ups must be enabled in your web browser in order for certain Banner links, such as the Parking Portal link, to function correctly.

Google Chrome - (link to instructions)

  1. In Chrome, at the top right, click the menu button (3 dots), then click Settings.
  2. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  3. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
  4. Click Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Click the Add button beside Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects.
  6. Type in msstate.edu and click the Add button.

Mozilla Firefox - (link to instructions, see the Pop-up blocker settings section)

  1. In Firefox, at the top right, click the menu button (3 lines) then click Options.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. Under the Permissions section, if you want to disable the pop-up blocker for every website, uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows. To just enable for our site, click the Exceptions... button and type in msstate.edu. Click Allow and click Save Changes.

Microsoft Edge - (link to instructions, switch Block pop-ups to off instead of on)

  1. In Edge, in the top right, click the menu button (3 dots), then click Settings.
  2. Click Cookies and site permissions. (If your window is not maximized you might have to click the menu button (3 lines) on the left hand side of the page.)
  3. Scroll down the page to All permissions and click Pop-ups and redirects.
  4. Beside Allow, click the Add button. Type in msstate.edu and click Add.

Safari - Instructions for enabling pop-ups

  1. In Safari, in the top left, click Safari, then click Settings.
  2. Click on the Website tab and click on Pop-up Windows in the left hand side of the Settings window.
  3. You should see msstate.edu as a currently open website. Click the Allow option immediately to the right. You can also change the setting to Allow enabling pop-ups "When visiting other websites" by choosing Allow.
