1. To download Mathematica 12.3, go to the Mathematica download service and click on the appropriate link for your user type.
2. If you do not have an account, now is the time to create one:
- Go to user.wolfram.com and click “Create Account.”
- Fill out form using an @msstate.edu email and click “Create Wolfram ID.”
- Check your email and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID
3. Request the download and Activation key:
- Fill out this form to request an Activation Key.
- Click the “My Products and Services” tab to access your license.
- Click “Get Downloads”
4. Click on Windows.
5. Click Start Download.
6. This will download the Windows installer. In your Downloads folder, double-click on the file when you are ready to install.
NOTE: You will need an activation key. Activation Key can be found in the Wolfram User Portal under Product Summary and Activation Keys on the Wolfram website.
7. After the download is complete double-click the file to start the installation.
8. Click Next.
9. Allow the software to download.
10. Click Launch.
11. Allow the Software documentation to install.
12. Wolfram Mathematica Setup will begin. Click Next.
13. The Destination Location can be the default folder. Click Next.
14. Select Components - Select Install all components. Click Next.
15. Start Menu Folder, leave as default. Click Next.
16. Ready to Install. Click Install.
17. Mathematica will install.
18. Click Finish.
19. After clicking Finish, the Product Activation window will display. Enter your Activation Key and click Activate. You can find your activation key in the Wolfram User Portal. There will be a window stating that activation was successful. NOTE: If the Product Activation Window does not display see Step #21.
20. Read the License Agreement. Check "I accept the terms of this agreement' and click OK.
21. If the Product Activation window does not display and it goes straight into Mathematica, on the menu you can click Help and Enter Activation Key.
