One Terabyte for Two Thousand Dollars (1T/2K) Volumes
ITS offers departments who have overly large data storage requirements the ability to purchase additional high-speed, replicated, and backed up storage space in one Terabyte blocks separate from their allocated departmental file storage space. Each block of storage is billed yearly at a cost of $2,000/year.
Like the departmental file storage space, the 1T/2K file storage spaces use the same high performance storage technology and are backed up on the same schedule as "normal" departmental drives.
These volumes are named QB_{department name} as a reminder that they have an associated cost. These volumes will appear as a separate subfolder on the J: drive along with the normal departmental shared storage space.
