MSU now has in place a Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) agreement. This agreement provides a number of Microsoft software products to MSU departments at no cost. Any department which has in the past had a separate contract for any of the products covered by this campus-wide contract should cancel or amend their separate contract to avoid unnecessarily paying for these products.
Departments should also no longer purchase Microsoft Office licenses or upgrades. Further, when purchasing a new Windows computer, departments should buy it with the least expensive version of Windows available for the model chosen, since upgrades to the latest version of the Windows desktop operating system are available under the campus-wide EES.

As part of the EES, MSU now has access to the Microsoft Imagine Academy (formerly IT Academy) and Imagine (formerly DreamSpark) services. Microsoft Imagine Academy (formerly IT Academy) provides access to electronic versions of all Microsoft Press books for faculty and staff, as well as access to online training materials for some Microsoft products for faculty, staff, and students. Imagine, formerly known as DreamSpark, provides access to certain Microsoft software for classroom use by faculty and students.
