Installing ArcGIS Pro 2.5

Esri ArcGIS software is licensed with an Education Institution Agreement between the Mississippi Institutes of Higher Learning and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. This agreement allows Esri products to be installed on any university-owned computer for academic (teaching and scholarly research) and administrative use (facilities management, campus safety, etc…). Additionally, the agreement allows installation for academic use on personal devices for current students, faculty, and staff at no additional cost.

Legal Requirements:

Only active faculty, staff, and students at Mississippi State University are permitted to obtain this software. Faculty, staff, and students are required to remove the software when no longer affiliated with the University.

The ITS Service Desk has a limited number of installation flash drives available. To assist in serving clients in a timely fashion please return the software on the next business day from checkout. ArcGIS Pro 2.5 can also be downloaded from the ITS Service Desk website.

Installation

1. When you open the file browser to the flash drive you will need to open the folder for ArcGIS for 2019. Double click on the file named ArcGISPro_25_172639. If you have downloaded the software, open the Downloads folder and click on the file named ArcGISPro_25_172639. The destination folder can be left as the default. Click Next.

2. ArcGIS Pro 2.5 will begin installing.

3. Check the box for Launch the setup program. Click Close.

4. Click Next.

5. Accept the agreement and then click Next.

6. Make your choice and then click Next.

7. Click Next.

 

8. To participate in the Esri User Experience Improvement program make sure that the checkbox is selected. Click Install.

 

9. Check the box for Run ArcGIS Pro now. Click Finish.

Licensing

1. After installation, you will be asked to Sign in. Please click Configure your licensing options.

2. The License Type is Concurrent Use License. The License Manager is esri10.license.msstate.edu.Click OK.

3. Click OK.
